Richard Feinberg has represented people in bankruptcy in the Tampa Bay area since 1994. He started his own practice that year, after beginning his career on the other side — representing banks, financial institutions and insurance companies.

That earlier work is part of why he is useful to have on the phone. He spent years learning how creditors decide what to pursue and what to let go, and he has spent the decades since using it for the people on the receiving end.

He founded this firm. Debt Relief Legal Group was formed in 2012, and Richard was its founding member and manager until Alan Borden took over the practice in 2015. He remains Of Counsel, and Alan consults him weekly on cases and on how the practice is run.
